Diversity Jam explores the life of immigrant and local artists in New York
City, diving into their journeys, cultural backgrounds and the challenges they face while celebrating the
power of art to unite and inspire. As New York City is a global hub of culture and creativity, it attracts artists from all over the world who are drawn to its energy, diversity and opportunities. However, being an immigrant artist in New York can also be a challenging and isolating experience, as one must navigate cultural, linguistic and socioeconomic barriers to pursue their dreams. Diversity Jam sheds light on these challenges, while showcasing the resilience, creativity, and community-building that immigrant artists bring to the city. This week’s special guest is Cejaz Negraz, a Colombian rapper. The interview portion of the program will be conducted in Spanish. Tune in and dale play!
