Mesita de la Memoria # 1

This month’s conversation features the poet Libre, an Afro-Boricua Cultural Worker, Poet(a), Organizer, and Educator currently residing in Gaza, Palestina doing humanitarian work. They move theory to action to help build alternatives outside of capitalism and use art as a tool of liberation. Libre seeks to build a world where poetry is the voice of truth and they organize internationally for the liberation of Borikén and all oppressed people. Through their own lived experience they will share impressions on how resistance has manifested itself in Palestine and what lessons it teaches us for our local struggles.
